After careful consideration, I decided I should probably join a gym. A little pricey, but I wanted the full range of options as well as accountability. In addition, I don’t have a lot of money to spend so I am not going to waste it by not going! I went online and printed up several free trials. When I visited the 3rd club, I instantly felt relaxed. My salesperson was not only charming (as most of them are) but was a genuinely nice guy. The air was comfortable and it smelled good in there! We walked around, checked everything out and I have to admit I was sold. I just felt good there. The next day, I met with a trainer and we made a rough draft of what I needed to do to get where I wanted to be. I am going to lose 30 lbs of fat and add 10 lbs of muscle. I will do this by engaging in cardio, core and strength/resistance training as well as maintaining a healthy, low calorie diet. Oh and the target date is February, 2012. When I attended my first class, Body Pump, I had no clue what to do. A young girl (customer) walked over, showed me what equipment I needed and how to set it up. The rest was up to me! I have since attended several other classes and am getting the hang of what I need to do to achieve my goal. I do need to do more but I am starting and that beats nothing!
